Barć, drzewo bartne (barciowe), dzianek — a living tree in which a space for bees is made in the shape of a hollow in the trunk.

Barć pisana — barć with applied glue.

Barta, serka — a type of axe used by a beekeeper.

Bartniaczek — a small log-stand.

Bartnica — see pieśnia.

Bezdenek — a hive in the shape of a bell, without a bottom.

Bliźniak, dwojak — log with two compartments.

Chmal — stake driven into the bart tree to prevent the leziwo from sliding while working with the barć.

Chobot — the end part of the leziwo.

Denczak — a hollowed-out piece placed on a round bottom.

Deska wylotowa — see siodełko.

Dłuziec — see dłużyca.

Dłużnia — an opening in the barć or log for handling; also see dłużyca.

Dłużyca, dłuziec, dłużnia, płacha, zatuła, zatwór, zdłuż, zdłużka — board closing the dłużnia.

Drzewo bartne (barciowe) — see barć.

Drzewo zastawne — see stojło.

Dupa — see nogi.

Główczak — dziuplanka with an embedded headboard at the top and an open bottom, placed directly on the ground.

Klejma, klejmo, klejno, znamię bartne — a mark carved on the barć identifying its owner.

Klucz — wooden hook used to secure the log on the stand.

Kluczka — see kozioł.

Kładzie, podkłady — wooden pieces on which hives are placed.

Kłoda — non-disassemblable hive made from a round log, hollowed on the side to serve as a compartment for bees.

Kłodzić — cutting the mark.

Kolebka, koszałka — trap for bears in the shape of a plank that recoils from the tree trunk when a bear sits on it.

Korzennik — the unoccupied part of the stand not yet inhabited by bees.

Koszałka — see kolebka.

Kozioł, koziołek, kluczka, kruczek, kumarogis — wooden hook forming part of the leziwo.

Krążki — wooden pieces used to cover the log.

Król — log with more than two compartments.

Królowa — barć with more than two compartments.

Kule — sticks used as leg supports while handling the barć.

Kumarogis (Lithuanian) — see kozioł.

Laski, snozy — rods or thin boards supporting the frames in the hive.

Lągło — part of the leziwo.

Leziwo, powrozy — tool used by the beekeeper to climb the tree.

Leżajo — part of the leziwo.

Leżak — horizontal hive made from a round log.

Ławka — see łaźbień.

Łaźbień, ławka, siadanka, siedlanka — board as part of the leziwo, used as a seat while working with the barć.

Nogi, dupa, pięta — lower part of the compartment.

Obleża, oblina (plural) — pine tree (barć) with a single compartment.

Obwieszanka — smooth planks used to cover the bart tree or stand, preventing a bear from sinking its claws into the trunk.

Oczkas, jarczos, jarkul — long, thin wedge tapering the light of the eye and supporting the frames.

Oczko — see oko.

Ocznik — central part of the compartment opposite the eye.

Odenek, adior, oder, odra, podkur, połatka, ter, werek — platform made of laths to prevent a bear from reaching the bart tree or stand.

Ogacenie — securing the hive against cold.

Oko, oczko, wylot — hive opening through which bees exit to the outside.

Ostroga, ostrowa — see ostrzewa.

Ostrzeszek — shelter for hives, placed under a fence to house them.

Ostrzewa, ostroga, ostrowa — type of primitive ladder made from a pole with dense short knots.

Pachać — positioning leziwo around the tree trunk to create a stirrup.

Paka — hive made of thick boards, similar to a log-stand.

Pasieka — apiary with hives set up on it.

Pień — hive with bees and structure.

Pieśnia, piesznia, bartnica — a long-handled chisel used to carve the compartments.

Pięta — see nogi.

Plecy — compartment wall opposite the dłużni.

Płacha — see dłużyca.

Podcin — tree intended for a barć, with the top cut off (pruned).

Podkłady — see kładzie.

Podkłod — tree with a section removed, intended for a barć.

Podkur — see odenek.

Połatka — see odenek.

Powrozy — see leziwo.

Pszczoły — term occasionally used synonymously with barć, ul, or pasieka.

Rozkozłać się — untie the leziwo rope from the kozioł to descend to the ground after finishing work with the barć.

Samobitnia, dzwon — a piece of wood or stone suspended from the bart tree, making it difficult for a bear to reach the barć.

Siodełko, deska wylotowa — small plank attached below the eye.

Ślepnia, ślepiot — see świepietnia.

Stręp — bart tree with the top broken off by wind or lightning.

Styk — forked pole, sometimes used to set the leziwo on the chmal.

Strzemię — loop in the leziwo where the beekeeper places a foot while climbing the tree.

Świepietnia, świepiot, ślepnia, ślepiot — natural hollow where a wild swarm has settled.

Szpilki — pegs to attach the barć ogacenie.

Ul — artificial structure for bees, except for the barć.
